The ZPB670.60.4 is a customized inspection machine developed from MYDAY's classic MPB series with 18" bed. Designed for straightness verification and dynamic run-out testing of long ball screws, this machine focuses on stable workpiece rotation and accessible measurement operation. Conventional turning components, including the carriage, feed gearbox, and apron, have been removed to provide a simplified inspection-oriented structure and a clear working area for precision measurement.

Inspection-Oriented Machine Configuration

To support controlled rotation during inspection, the ZPB670.60.4 is equipped with a 10 HP Yaskawa inverter motor, providing spindle speeds from 50 to 300 rpm. Independent spindle control interfaces are installed at both the headstock and tailstock ends, allowing quality control personnel to operate the machine near the measurement position while setting up dial indicators. Forward and reverse spindle control is provided for practical inspection use, while motor deceleration time has been shortened from 5 seconds to 1 second to improve efficiency during repeated production-line inspection procedures.

Precision Validation

For stable support of long screw workpieces, the machine is equipped with an Ø95 mm tailstock quill with MT#5 center specification. During pre-shipment validation, concentricity calibration was performed using the included dual centers. Static and dynamic run-out at both the spindle and tailstock ends were verified within 0.01 mm, establishing a reliable inspection baseline for ball screw manufacturing applications.
