Engineered to meet the stringent straightness and run-out requirements of ball screws, this machine features a thoroughly simplified structure. We have removed traditional turning components such as the carriage, feed gearbox, and apron, eliminating all potential resonance sources and mechanical interference to create a pure and highly stable metrology clearance. The power system is equipped with a 10 HP Yaskawa inverter motor, dedicated to providing seamless, highly stable rotation between 50 and 300 rpm. This ensures absolute dynamic precision and ultra-low vibration when inspecting long-dimension screws.
Application and R&D Implementation:
This project is specifically tailored for experts in ball screw and high-end linear transmission component manufacturing, with core applications in straightness verification and Dynamic Run-out Testing of long screws. To address the frequent and meticulous inspection workflows of expert-level clients, the MYDAY R&D team introduced modular upgrades: configuring independent spindle control interfaces at both the headstock and tailstock. This allows quality control personnel to instantly control rotation while setting up dial indicators at either end of the machine. Simultaneously, forward/reverse spindle control has been optimized for intuitive switching, and the motor deceleration time has been drastically compressed from 5 seconds down to just 1 second, perfectly matching the fast-paced rhythm of high-frequency production line inspections.
Factory Validation and Technical Data:
During rigorous pre-shipment precision validation, we equipped the machine with an oversized Ø 95 mm tailstock quill (MT#5) to provide the flawless support required for high-end screw inspection. Concurrently, extreme concentricity calibration was performed on the included dual centers, ensuring that the dynamic and static run-out errors at both the spindle and tailstock ends are strictly contained within 0.01 mm.
